Nathan had dreamed of flying for years. In July 2025, he took the controls—alone—for the very first time.

"I remember lining up on the runway, hands a little shaky," Nathan says. "But once I was in the air, all that nervous energy turned into pure focus."

Nathan credits his instructor Wyatt for preparing him with detailed pre-solo checklists, confidence-building lessons, and countless touch-and-goes.

"When I landed and taxied back, Wyatt was waiting with a big smile and the traditional solo shirt-cutting! It was unforgettable."

His advice to new students? "Don’t rush it. Trust your training and enjoy every small win."
