Nathan’s First Solo Flight: What It Really Feels Like

Nathan had dreamed of flying for years. In July 2025, he took the controls—alone—for the very first time.
"I remember lining up on the runway, hands a little shaky," Nathan says. "But once I was in the air, all that nervous energy turned into pure focus."
Nathan credits his instructor Wyatt for preparing him with detailed pre-solo checklists, confidence-building lessons, and countless touch-and-goes.
"When I landed and taxied back, Wyatt was waiting with a big smile and the traditional solo shirt-cutting! It was unforgettable."
His advice to new students? "Don’t rush it. Trust your training and enjoy every small win."
