How much does flight training cost?

Flight training at Fly East Idaho is pay as you go. Total cost depends on how often you fly and how quickly you progress. Most people budget between $12000-17000 for the entire private pilots license. Call to get a better estimate that fits you.

How long does it take to earn a pilot license?

It depends on your schedule and goals. Most students earn a Private Pilot License in 3-6 months when flying consistently. However this number often changes due to examiner availability.

What is a Discovery Flight?

A Discovery Flight is your first flying lesson. You will fly with a certified instructor, sit in the pilot's seat, and actually control the aircraft. It is the best way to see if aviation is right for you.

Do I need any experience to start flight training?

No experience at all. Most of our students start with zero flight time. We will teach you everything step by step, starting with the basics.

What are the minimum requirements to obtain my pilots license?

You must have a minimum of 40 flight hours, 10 hours of which are solo and at least 20 hours with a certified instructor. On average however, it takes most people 50-70 hours to actually complete their license from start to finish.
