So, you're thinking about becoming a pilot? Here's how to get started:

1. Take a Discovery Flight This is your first hands-on experience in the cockpit. You'll fly with a certified instructor and get a real feel for what flight training is like.

2. Enroll in Ground School Learn the theory of aviation, from weather to regulations, so you’re prepared for the FAA written exam.

3. Begin Flight Lessons Start logging flight hours with a certified instructor. You'll learn takeoffs, landings, navigation, emergency procedures, and more.

4. Pass the Written Exam & Medical Check You'll need an FAA medical certificate and to pass the written knowledge exam.

5. Complete Solo and Cross-Country Flights Experience the thrill of flying solo and navigate across different airports.

6. Take Your Checkride Once your instructor signs you off, you’ll take the FAA checkride with a designated pilot examiner.
